Tralee tonking hasn’t been forgotten, says Donnchadh Walsh

Kerry’s 10-point final round Allianz League defeat to Cork in Tralee two years ago is very much on Donnchadh Walsh’s mind as the Munster rivals meet again this weekend.

Walsh lasted just 30 minutes in what was an embarrassing afternoon for the hosts.

It stood as one of their worst defeats to Cork since 1990 until last year’s 11-point reverse in Páirc Uí Rinn. While Walsh knows Kerry will make the knockout stages barring a calamity, stopping Cork from claiming a third consecutive Division 1 win over them is imperative.
