Cork’s lack of consistency worries Colm O’Neill
Sunday’s comfortable dismissal of Down, coupled with the seven-point victory over Monaghan a fortnight ago, marked back-to-back wins for the Cork footballers for the first time since the successive scalps of Tyrone and Mayo in rounds five and six of last year’s league.
“That is the million dollar question,” replied O’Neill when quizzed on why a consistent level of performance has not been achieved by this group. “We are going to have to look at a few games and try and pick up one or two things that might start something. It is only March.”
