Dublin manager Jim Gavin said it is up to all counties to go to Croke Park in search of their own funding with a business plan in hand like Dublin have done.

Dublin benefited from €2.1m in GAA funding in 2015, but Gavin insisted the Dublin County Board have been clever in their use of the funds and have ploughed the cash into games’ development and into its young players. Gavin cited an example of Longford who have no Games’ Promotion Officers (GPO), and insisted that it was up to other counties to go in search of their own grants and match that funding on the ground.
