Goalkeeper David Clarke has been passed for it for Mayo’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final with Chris Barrett replacing the injured Tom Cunniffe in the Connacht champions’ only change.

Mayo goalkeeper David Clarke recovers to face Dublin

Barrett came on as a first-half substitute for Cunniffe in the quarter-final win over Donegal after Cunniffe sustained a hamstring injury, and the Belmullet man takes over at centre-back. Clarke was forced to withdraw at half-time in the same game with a groin problem, to be replaced by Robert Hennelly, but the Ballina netminder has been deemed fit enough to retain the number 1 jersey.

The rest of the side remains unchanged. Barry Moran was a late replacement for his namesake Andy before the Donegal game, in which he operated as a sweeper, and he is selected, ostensibly at right corner-forward, but could drop deep again. Aidan O’Shea is once again picked at centre-forward but is likely to operate closer to goal.
