Eamonn Fitzmaurice heralded the depth of his panel in the wake of a game where their extensive resources proved invaluable.

Yesterday, it was Paul Galvin and Tommy Walsh’s turn to miss out but they’re still in the mix, he insisted.

“In fairness to the lads, there’s great buy-in from them and there’s a great squad mentality there. Some of the lads that didn’t get action today will obviously be disappointed but they’ll be ready to go Tuesday night to stake their claim for a starting position in the All-Ireland final and if not they’ll be ready to come in.
