Clarification on our Cork County Board statement story

In Tuesday’s edition of the Irish Examiner, we reported on the statement issued by Cork GAA with regard to former football manager Brian Cuthbert. 

It was reported the statement was "written and issued" by PRO Edmond Forrest.

We have been asked by Cork GAA chariman Ger Lane to point out the statement was not written by Mr Forrest, nor did Mr Lane indicate at any stage that it was.
