Merger needs to happen, says Paudie Murray

All-Ireland-winning Cork camogie manager Paudie Murray says “the sooner the Camogie Association and LGFA merge with the GAA, the better”.

Merger needs to happen, says Paudie Murray

Murray is disgusted that three Cork dual players were expected to play two games within the space of three hours this evening and believes a one-family association will bring an end to such “unfair” and “ridiculous” scheduling.

The Cork camogie team face Tipperary in the Munster final at Cashel (4.30pm) and will be without experienced duo Briege Corkery and Rena Buckley, management agreeing to allow the pair line out for Eamonn Ryan’s ladies football outfit in the Division 1 league final replay against Galway at O’Moore Park, Portloaise (7.30pm).
