Oliver Mann slams abuse of Limerick hurling players

GAA chairman Oliver Mann has described the online abuse of Limerick’s hurlers in the wake of Saturday’s hammering to Dublin as unwarranted.

TJ Ryan’s charges were way off the pace in their league quarter-final bout at Croke Park, falling in the end by 12 points.

The implosion of the Limerick effort prompted a wave of online criticism, with the team labelled “shameful, embarrassing, the worst ever, lacking heart, uninterested, unprepared and unfit”.
