Rochestown satisfied with venue change for final replay

The fixing of the Corn Uí Mhuirí final replay between Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne and St Francis College, Rochestown, for Rathmore at 1.30pm on Sunday would appear to have drawn more favour with the Cork school.

Rochestown satisfied with venue change for final replay

Last Saturday’s drawn game was played in Dr Crokes’ grounds in Killarney, but for the replay Rochestown had sought a different venue. The previous five finals, all involving Corca Dhuibhne, had been played in Killarney: This year’s two against Macroom’s De La Salle and one each against Coláiste Chríost Rí of Cork City and Killarney school St Brendan’s College.

While the Munster PPS organisation asked the schools to come to an arrangement, this wasn’t possible and so the replay will clash with Sunday’s Allianz FL game between Cork and Kerry in Páirc Uí Rinn.
