St Brendan’s College got some compensation for their senior side’s loss in the Corn Uí Mhuirí decider last Saturday by defeating Tralee CBS in Wednesday’s Frewen Cup final at Austin Stack Park.

The fixing of the Corn Uí Mhuirí final replay between Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne and St Francis College, Rochestown, for Rathmore at 1.30pm on Sunday would appear to have drawn more favour with the Cork school.
