5 big decisions facing Donegal

Jim McGuinness may like to pull the odd rabbit out of a hat but that doesn’t usually apply to his full-back line where he is probably most conservative. You can almost take it as read now that James O’Donoghue will be marked by Neil McGee (the Donegal man expects to anyway) and his brother Eamon will shadow Kieran Donaghy. Even if Donaghy isn’t assigned to the edge of the square and takes up a residence on the wing or midfield, the older McGee sibling will surely follow. But would moving Donaghy away from full-forward be interpreted as a sign of weakness on Kerry’s part given how forceful the McGees have been there this season? McGuinness may see it that way but he will still need a plan for another 6ft-pluser around the centre.
