Tipp boost as Maher recovering well

Tipperary forward Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher took a restricted part in training yesterday ahead of the All-Ireland senior hurling championship final replay with Kilkenny on September 27.

Tipp boost as Maher recovering well

Assistant team manager Michael Ryan confirmed that Maher is “much better” after he limped out of training last Wednesday evening, following a collision with Paul Curran.

Maher’s knee was still heavily bandaged yesterday but the combative forward is expected to be fit for the replay.

Tipp trained at Semple Stadium and while Maher was moving reasonably well, his progress was closely monitored throughout.
