Ryan backing for Cork backroom team

Cork chairman Bob Ryan has backed Brian Cuthbert and Ronan McCarthy in the wake of James Horan’s attack on them.

Horan claimed they, selector McCarthy in particular, hit a “new low” in comments made earlier last week about Mayo’s tactical fouling acumen.

The Mayo manager took exception to Cillian O’Connor and Kevin McLoughlin being named as two players who excelled in making “little fouls”.
