Last two years ‘a disaster’ for Galway, says Hayes

Former All-Star Damien Hayes has described the performances of Galway over the past two years as ‘a disaster’.

The corner-forward, one of the longest serving players in the Galway squad, said what has happened in the past two years since they reached the 2012 All-Ireland is not acceptable.

“We can butter it up whatever way we want but the last two years were a disaster. Just beating Laois isn’t good enough, just as a player it isn’t good enough.
