Dr Crokes command top spot
The Tralee side have lost eight players for the summer to America while Crokes’ bench came good. Three goals from second-half sub Ruairi Mangan and another from Tony Brosnan ensured Crokes came out well on top.
Stacks join O’Rahilly’s in second spot but with a game less played thanks to a 0-15 to 0-7 away win at Dingle, with Shane Carroll doing most of the damage.
Surprisingly Rathmore are now in the relegation dogfight as they lost at home to St Michael’s/Foilmore 1-10 to 2-11, with Bernard Kelly and Ronan O’Connor getting the winner’s goals. The South Kerry side led 1-7 to 1-3 at the break with George O Keeffe getting the Rathmore goal.
Bernard and Damien Kelly, Ronan O’Connor and veteran Sean O’Shea, kicked the scores for St Michael’s/Foilmore.
Currow, still on just one win, lost by a point at home to Waterville, 1-9 to 0-13. Currow had the ball in the Waterville net six minutes into the second-half courtesy of Mike McCarthy and led 1-9 to 0-8. However Waterville rallied and kicked five unanswered points to snatch victory.
Kilcummin had a crucial 2-13 to 2-10 over Finuge, who are also in relegation trouble.
