Passion still burns bright and fierce on sideline

It happened around the 25th minute, Kilkenny manager Brian Cody striding down the touchline and into the Tipperary dugout, where he obviously had business to conduct with someone with whom he had been exchanging pleasantries.

“I think I made a mistake in which bench I was at,” his smiling explanation.

“That happens. We’re neighbouring counties, you know, these things happen. It was a great day’s hurling and a great day’s passion for the whole thing and long may it last.”
