Déise manager makes case for appealing Walsh red card

The clash with Alan McCrabbe occurred near the sideline McGrath was patrolling: “I won’t go down the Arsene Wenger route. I had a perfect view of it. He pulled back with the momentum as he was gaining possession and the chap came on his blind side. Certainly I think there will be grounds for appeal. Michael was trying to gather possession with his left hand and his right hand came back just to give himself balance and I don’t think that he saw the man on his blind side. That would be the truthful assessment of it. I think there is grounds for appeal there definitely.”
“I was right in front of it,” the Déise bainsteoir continued. “He hit him in the head so there was a reaction to it. It was the sound of the helmet as opposed to anything else.”
