McInerney: We’ll prove win no fluke

All Star Clare defender David McInerney says the Banner are determined to prove their All-Ireland hurling success wasn’t a fluke.

The 20-year full-back was a key player as Davy Fitzgerald’s youthful side stormed to an unlikely MacCarthy Cup success.

McInerney admitted to being taken aback by the scale of the success but insisted Clare’s youngsters are mature beyond their years and are ready to prove their breakthrough title wasn’t a one-off.
