Match programmes to go digital

The tradition of buying a match programme and adding it to your collection may be about to change dramatically after the GAA announced that they will now be available for iPhone and iPad devices.

The programmes can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store and will contain all the information on the print form with extras including live stats, news, photo galleries, stadium and ticketing information.

“We worked with our partners DBA Publishing and the idea has been in gestation for a year,” said the GAA’s Head of Media Relations.

“We’re very excited about it. The match programmes have been one of the oldest forms of communication within the GAA and this offers something new. Now anyone anywhere can get match programme.”
