McManus: We knew we had the ability

Celebrations will be kept to a minimum as they could face into an All-Ireland quarter-final which may come as quick as 12 days’ time.

From the start of the year every man worked hard, there were no excuses, we delivered. It didn’t matter what people said because that doesn’t matter to us. We went out and everyone in our circle, the 35 to 40 people that’s all that matters the people in that dressing room and everyone had full confidence we could do it and it showed in the way we played.”
