GAA president Liam O’Neill has expressed disappointment at the outcome of a recent disciplinary action against Dublin’s Kevin O’Brien.

A proposed three-match ban against O’Brien by the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) arising from an alleged incident involving Donegal’s Paddy McBrearty in the counties’ Division 1 game last month was revoked by the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) last week.

After McBrearty failed to attend the meeting last Thursday, the CHC decided the biting offence alleged against O’Brien was not proven, based on the evidence provided.
