The first victory any ambitious sports person must have is the win over themselves.

Convince yourself of your own ability, your own worth, your own invincibility. Convince yourself of the attainability of your ambitions, then go out and take on the world. It doesn’t mean you will win but when you come toe-to-toe with those of a similar mindset , at least you won’t be beaten before you start.
