O’Shea: 10-team Division 1A would improve standards

Eamon O’Shea says the size of hurling’s top flight has to increase by 66% to best serve the game.

The Tipperary manager saw his team top the six-team Division 1A on Easter Sunday with three wins from five games but maintains the group has to be increased to include another four teams.

O’Shea is the second inter-county boss in two days to call for a change to the format of the league after Limerick’s John Allen described the current structure as “awful”.
