Goulding starts as Rebels face trip to the Kingdom
The 2009 All-Star returns after surgery on a minor knee ailment and is one of two changes made by manager Conor Counihan, both of them enforced by injury, to the side which saw off Donegal last week. Goulding made an appearance off the bench against the All-Ireland champions and replaces luckless triple cruciate knee victim Colm O’Neill while Eoin O’Mahony comes in to the full-back line instead of Eoin Cadogan, who has an ankle injury. Donncha O’Connor is also unavailable due to an Achilles tendon injury which has troubled him for a number of months while Ciarán Sheehan and Patrick Kelly remain on the injured list as well.
Mickey Harte has opted to make three changes to the Tyrone team which ended Dublin’s unbeaten league run last week for their visit to Newbridge to take on Kildare on Sunday. Ryan McKenna, Patrick McNiece and Connor McAliskey — who all came as subs in Croke Park last time out — are drafted in with Justin McMahon, Ciaran McGinley and Martin Penrose benched.
