O’Sullivan out of reckoning for Cork after appeal rejected

Cork footballer Denis O’Sullivan is now ineligible to play for the county after his appeal against the decision not to grant him a transfer was turned down by the Cork County Board’s Hearings Committee.

O’Sullivan, a member of Ballinascarthy GAA Club, had sought a transfer to Clonakilty, but, after observations from Ballinascarthy regarding his stated address, this application was rejected by the county board’s Competitions Control Committee.

An appeal was then made to the Hearings Committee, which met last Thursday night, though again it was decided not to allow the transfer to go through.
