Kerry’s Tony O’Keeffe has been appointed as successor to Clare’s Simon Moroney as chairman of the powerful Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC).

O’Keeffe, secretary of the Kerry County Board for 18 years, chaired the former inter-county games organisational and disciplinary body, the Games Administration Committee, between 2003 and 2006.

He is currently a member of the CCCC and will chair the group until the end of GAA president Liam O’Neill’s tenure, at Congress 2015.
