Three schools return to Harty Cup arena

It will be a time for bridging gaps as the Dr Harty Cup gets underway today, albeit with a more truncated fixture list than usual.

As the Tipperary minor hurlers are waiting to play their All-Ireland final replay with Dublin, just four games take place, one in each group.

The clash of Gaelcholáiste Mhuire, the Irish-language arm of the famous North Monastery, and St Flannan’s in Bruff will be the first time since 2007 that the Mon will have had involvement in the competition.
