McGee sorry for forgotten man Cassidy

Eamon McGee admits he feels sorry for his close friend and clubmate Kevin Cassidy, who will miss out on Sunday’s All-Ireland final.

The Gweedore man, an All Star last year, was axed from the panel by Jim McGuinness following his revelations about their preparations in a book.

“I do feel for him, definitely,” said McGee. “He is not just a mate, he is a close mate. I go down there for a cup of tea, play with the wee ones [Cassidy’s twin baby girls], I know the whole family very well.”
