Flanagan backs Tribe homing instinct

Galway didn’t dawdle around the capital after they drew with Kilkenny on Sunday evening.

Standing outside their dressing rooms after the game, they were reticent about joining their Kilkenny opponents at the post-game function and the shyness didn’t end there.

They were committed to a post-game banquet in the Regency Airport Hotel so they headed out there to eat, but afterwards the players filed onto the bus and headed west along the motorway to home.
