Drake turns tide as Carrigaline march into semi-final
Two first-half Seán O’Brien goals gave Nemo a five-point buffer at the change of ends but after a lacklustre performance, Carrigaline finally found their rhythm in the closing 10 minutes, hitting 1-5 without reply to run out winners.
Carrigaline set the pace early on with their half-forward line in particular catching the eye. Wing forward Niall Coakley opened the scoring on two minutes and their advantage was doubled two minutes later when David Drake pointed from a free.
