Sheehan set to make return in Sligo challenge

Kerry’s Bryan Sheehan aims to make a sooner-than-expected comeback for the Kingdom in a challenge game this weekend against Sligo.

Sheehan set to make return in Sligo challenge

Sheehan missed the Munster SFC defeat to Cork with a knee problem, known as “Jumper’s Knee” but says he is nearly back to fitness. “I have the four weeks down with the treatment on the knee injury. So I am back in training with the squad and doing the running and hopefully by the weekend I will be back playing football.”

Sheehan suffers from a tendon injury under the knee cap on his left leg that has been niggling him for a number of months — in fact his incredible accuracy from long and close-range frees has led to his latest injury.
