Huge boost for Tipp as Corbett returns to panel

Lar Corbett has returned to the Tipperary senior hurling panel, it emerged last night.

The 2010 Hurler of the Year was not present in Clonlara last evening when Tipp played a senior hurling challenge against Clare, but the Thurles Sarsfields clubman is expected to return to training at Semple Stadium tomorrow night.

However Tipperary boss Declan Ryan will be anxious to dampen expectations about Corbett making an immediate return to the starting line-up. Corbett, 31, has not been involved with his club this year and at this point in time, the man who has scored 26 championship goals for Tipperary, is well below the fitness levels required for inter-county fare.
