O’Neill: Cork deserve some credit

As they prepare for a fourth consecutive league final and an attempt at the Division 1 three-in-a-row, Colm O’Neill believes Cork haven’t got the credit they deserve.

With 1-6 against Down on Sunday, the Ballyclough man was a major influence in helping Conor Counihan’s side to another decider. Just like in 2010, Mayo provide the opposition but O’Neill feels not many people have complimented Cork for their rich vein of early season success.

“In fairness, we have been in three [Division 1 finals] and a Division 2 final before that. There is great credit due to the team.
