Johnston targets Kildare place

Former Cavan captain, Seanie Johnston insists he is doing all in his powers in an attempt to re-ignite his inter-county career with Kildare.

And the 27-year-old has issued an open invite to tea for anyone who doubts that he is living permanently within the county.

Johnston, who was told last October that he was not part of Cavan’s future plans by manager Val Andrews, attended his first training session with prospective new club, St Kevin’s in Staplestown yesterday morning.
