Game off as mark of respect to Caolan

ROCHESTOWN College have opted not to fulfil today’s Munster Colleges Corn Uí Mhuirí Group A fixture against West Clare Colleges in Rathkeale as a mark of respect to Rochestown teenager Caolan Mulrooney whose body was found in Cork yesterday.

The match has no bearing on the outcome of Group A as Rochestown College had already secured top spot and a place in the quarter-finals in January, while West Clare Colleges were out of the running.

Several members of the Rochestown College squad were team-mates of Caolan in Douglas GAA club with many of them having played with him on the Douglas team that reached this year’s Cork Premier 1 MFC final.
