No surprise as Cody named Cats boss for 14th season in-a-row

The James Stephens man, the most successful manager in the history of the game, has guided the county to 10 All-Ireland wins and five National League successes. He will team up with Michael Dempsey (St Joseph’s, Laois) and Martin Fogarty (Erin’s Own) to form the same management team as for the last six years.

The appointments were ratified by the county board at last night’s monthly meeting. Delegates instantly ratified the appointments once the names were put to the floor. The team will be captained by Cody’s club colleague, Eoin Larkin, following Stephens’ recent championship success.
