Cork take next step in search for hurling boss
A total of 22 proposals have been submitted to the board executive by clubs from around the county and then redistributed to each club for consideration.
However, due to the similarity between a number of motions, it is not expected that each of them will be individually debated at tonight’s meeting, with board PRO Ger Lane predicting some of them will be amalgamated into one proposal.
“It would be very time consuming if each of the motions was to be debated individually and a lot of the motions submitted by clubs are very similar,” he said.
“There might be a bit of tweaking required in some cases but I would imagine there will be quite a few amalgamated into one proposal.
“Ultimately delegates may have only five or six proposals to consider. We’d be looking then to get the process started as soon as possible and get the committee up and running, once a proposal is decided upon.
“For example if a proposal involving putting club delegates on the committee was decided, then those delegates will likely be selected from the floor tonight.”
