Ovens desperate for one more year at helm

WATERFORD football boss John Owens believes there is still untapped potential in the county and is eager to remain in charge for 2012, the final season of his three-year term.

Owens assumed the managerial reins for the first time last year and wants to see out his tenure in the wake of last Saturday’s All-Ireland qualifier defeat against Limerick in the Gaelic Grounds.

“I got a three-year term when I started and I would certainly like to stay involved for the final year,” he said.
