Gilroy: Late free was karma

FOR Pat Gilroy, the context of Cormac Reilly’s decision to award Bernard Brogan the winning free was the thing he wanted to underline.

The Dublin manager had no doubt it was a free but considering what he believed his star player had gone through prior to the decision, he felt karma had come back to bite Kildare in the backside.

“I think Bernard was probably due a free at that stage. He had probably had a few calls that seemed to go against him.
