Simply put, Clare were diabolical

DESPITE all that Donal O’Grady had said beforehand about wanting only a performance, Limerick came to Ennis yesterday with one aim, one plan – to win this game.

They did, but much as it pains me to say so, they met with almost no opposition.

Never in all my years following them have I seen a performance as poor from a Clare team. One point from play in the whole game, one point in the first half, and that from a free, it was absolutely diabolical.
