Power out of Tipp clash
The Carrickshock man is recovering from minor surgery on a hip problem but is expecting to resume training before the end of the month and be back for the middle of the Cats’ campaign.
“I had a bit of a problem with my hip but got it sorted a couple of weeks ago,” said Power. “I missed some training but it’s not too serious. I won’t be available for the Tipp game and I’m waiting to get the all-clear to go back training. It was an ongoing issue that I had last year so I had to get it solved.”
Meanwhile, Donegal captain Michael Murphy has admitted he was annoyed with reports suggesting he was going to transfer to a Dublin club.
“It was slightly annoying, there’s no point in lying,” said DCU student Murphy. “I’ve a great dedication for my club in Glenswilly. Where the rumours came from, I don’t know. There were no facts in them at all.”
