Shading a tight first-half 0-4 to 0-3, Pobalscoil clicked into a higher gear in the second-half, inspired by substitute Tomás Ó Caomhanaigh as well as four points from wing-forward Eanna Ó Conchuir.

De La Salle were too reliant on full-forward Ben Shorten (he kicked five points) while a late save by Pobalscoil keeper Gavin Ó Curráin from Darren Kelly denied last year’s runners-up hope of a grandstand finish.
