CIARÁN WHELAN has claimed that hype is one of Dublin’s most dangerous opponents ahead of their All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Cork on Sunday week.

After their crushing defeat to Meath in June, Pat Gilroy’s side have crept under the radar to the last four of the race for Sam Maguire.

However the manner of their quarter-final victory over Tyrone has blown their cover and created massive anticipation in the capital. And the former midfield giant admits that keeping a lid on such expectation could be key to their hopes of success against Conor Counihan’s men, and perhaps September glory.
