We’ll learn valuable lesson, says Walsh

CORK boss Denis Walsh wasn’t overly downbeat after last night’s NHL final loss to Galway.

Instead he insisted that his team will learn many lessons from the defeat ahead of their Munster championship opener in four weeks.

Walsh said: “I felt at half-time we were in it and the way the game had gone, we deserved to be closer. But we just didn’t drive on after half-time. It didn’t happen for us as a unit, although at the same time there were some strong individual displays.
