Cadogan has fractured tooth removed

CORK dual GAA star Eoin Cadogan has undergone dental surgery in the wake of the tempestuous National League clash with Kerry on Saturday, in which the Douglas man and Kerry’s Paul Galvin were sent off.

Cadogan was involved in a first-half altercation with 2009 Footballer of the Year Galvin, with commentators of the view that the red cards from referee Maurice Deegan were unwarranted. Kerry coach Jack O’Connor also suggested Galvin is now being punished for his reputation and past occasions of indiscipline.

However, Cadogan was operated on yesterday morning to remove a fractured tooth. It is not yet known if he will miss any games for either the Cork hurlers or footballers as a direct result, as he is already facing a suspension because of Saturday night’s red card.
