Kerry? It’s just like watching Brazil

MEATH midfielder Brian Meade believes the Royal County will have ‘nothing to lose’ when they meet Kerry in the second All-Ireland semi-final at the end of the month.

Kerry? It’s just like watching Brazil

Eamonn O’Brien’s side went into Sunday’s quarter-final tie against Mayo as rank outsiders after the Connacht side’s defeat of Galway in the provincial final and their own low-profile movement through the qualifiers.

It was a remarkably similar script to that which preceded it a week before when Kerry emerged from the back door to account for a fancied Dublin side. However, Kerry and Meath have emerged from their respective last eight dates with very different expectations trailing them. While Kerry have been installed as All-Ireland favourites, Meath have been dismissed as total outsiders.
