Like father, like son for legends

JACK O’SHEA and Barney Rock shared many memories as central players in one of football’s greatest rivalries.

Now it seems the next generation are happily following in the footsteps of their fathers.

Rock’s son Dean is a member of the Dublin panel while Jacko’s son Aidan is on the Kerry squad.

The duo met after Monday’s latest renewal of rivalries, had a quick chat, and then exchanged jerseys.

“It is great to see the young lads getting to feel the sense of occasion,” O’Shea senior said last night.
