Pundits came for a wake but witnessed a rebirth

WHAT a difference a day makes – or 71 minutes in Croke Park if you are a Kerry footballer or a TV pundit.

The delayed start meant more time for the RTÉ panel of Pat Spillane, Colm O’Rourke and Joe Brolly to pay their respects and wave goodbye to a Kerry side who were heading to wherever it is that great footballing sides go when their time is done.

By half time their tune had changed. So had their facial expressions.
