McNamara: we’ll be ready to ambush Tribe

MIKE McNAMARA wants Cusack Park to be ‘a fortress for Clare’ for next month’s All-Ireland SHC qualifier against Galway.

The All-Ireland winning selector admitted he would have preferred to be meeting any side other than Galway but has vowed to play the card he has been dealt.

The Clare boss said: “We wouldn’t have any fear of them, though they’re the one team everybody wanted to avoid. We have more and more young players starting to show what they can do and maybe this is an opportunity for somebody else to step into the Colin Ryan breach.
