Cash boost for Council

MUNSTER GAA officials are looking at a potential €1m boost to badly-dented coffers after yesterday’s Munster SHC semi-final draw in Thurles.

Cash boost for Council

A bumper crowd of over 30,000 for the Cork-Kerry football replay at Páirc Ui Chaoimh on Saturday swelled the provincial kitty by over €500,000, and a further 20,000 are expected for the Waterford-Limerick replay next Saturday, generating another big payday for the Munster Council.

Spokesperson Jim Forbes said last night that prices would again be cut by €5 for the hurling replay next weekend.
